Government

City Council

To find your Council District # and Councilmember's name:

  1. go to http://www.localvoter.com/
  2. Under "Choose Your Location" on the upper left of the screen, select San Antonio and choose "go."
  3. Enter your street number, street name (e.g., Zarzamora S)
  4. Enter the street type (e.g., Street)
  5. Select your City and press "Search"
  6. Click on the Precinct Number for your street # and Zip
  7. Press "CLICK HERE TO LIST CURRENT OFFICIALS FOR YOUR PRECINCT"
  8. Press "LOCAL"
  9. Press "CITY" and you'll see your CCD and Councilmember's name.

    Hours: Mon - Fri 7:30 am - 6 pm (must be Bexar County resident)
    Cost: Free - Earnings of $10,000/year or less or on public assistance
    $25 - Earnings of $10,000/year - $19,000/year
    All others: Male Cat = $30; Female Cat = $45; Female Dog = $70; Male Dog = $55
    (For low cost or free spay/neuter, bring last year's IRS Form 1040 or proof of Public Assistance on surgery date)
  • San Antonio Mobile SNAP Clinic

    Free spay/neutering, proof of participation n any of these programs is required: WIC, SSI/SSD, Food Stamps, AFDC, SAAF, Major VA disability, Care Link/Medicaid or Section 8. Reduced costs for all others: Male Cats = $30; Female Cats = $45; Male Dogs = $45; Female Dogs = $60. Animals must be 4 months or older and are admitted on a first come first served basis as space allows. Clients should arrive at scheduled location (call or go to web site for monthly schedule on where the mobile unit will be) no later than 7:30 am (although folks are coming much earlier). Dogs must be on a leash and cats in a carrier or pillow case. Pet must have had a rabies shot; please bring the rabies certificate or vet will give for $10.
